I used to teach yoga.
I would teach both the asana, and the spiritual philosophy. But I would just teach yoga. I can’t pinpoint when it happened, but I started to realize that yoga (even in all of its various forms) wasn’t the answer to everything, nor does a person need to practice every day.
Some days we need to roll around on myofascial release balls and do some restorative poses, and know that it is enough. Some days we need to flow through sun salutations and cap it off with some mountain climbers. And, some days we need a weight training practice coupled with meditation. So many options. So cool, right?!
Now, what do I teach exactly? I still teach yoga. It has just become a wider umbrella encompassing all types of movement, and mindfulness, to meet you where you are. It’s a bit hard to define, or articulate, but I rely on my decade(s) of experience in working with bodies and energy, coupled with my spidey sense of intuition to bring you the practices that will be most supportive to you that day.
